Indie, Indie Rock

album coverHere is a unique voice to the indie rock scene. Noisettes are a rock trio from London, England, formed in 2003 when Shingai Shoniwa and Dan Smith (formerly of the band SonarFly) began writing and playing more intensely than before. They met drummer Jamie Morrison in December 2003, and went straight into the studio to record their noisy and abrasive four-track debut, Three Moods of the Noisettes, which was released on Side Salad Records. Eventually signing to Universal, they’ve since released seven singles: IWE, Scratch Your Name…

You know … it’s posts like these that make me come check your blog. I wouldn’t consider buying this if I just saw it sitting on a store shelf. It looks too much like a hip-hop CD. I’m not a big fan of hip-hop. However, there are 3 hot points pushing me to Amazon for this one: 1. it’s indie. 2. female vocalist. 3. British. That’s a recipe for success, in my book.

Anyway, thanks for your posts. I love ‘em!
