Amateur Anthropologist – The Winter EP
Here is a band out of Michigan that would probably be fun to see live. If you like The Von Bondies you will probably like these guys. So far Time to Go seems to be my favorite track. Amateur Anthropologist is an indie/garage/punk band from Dearborn Heights, Michigan formed in January 2009 by Alex Gabriel on drums/vocals and David Paco Rochemont on guitar/vocals/harmonica and joined by Paul Corsi on bass/vocals. Their first EP, “Digging Up Bones, Baby!”, was recorded in Alex’s garage using sub-par equipment run by solar power in the summer of 2009. Their second EP, “The Winter EP”, was recorded over two different late night sessions at a professional studio in the basement of an Italian restaurant. Both EP’s were self-released.They have The Winter EP up as a free download on their bandcamp page, so be sure to check that out.
